Helicopter Chase Leads to McAllen Before Catastrophe

Penitas Police Department on Sunday were in a high speed pursuit chasing an alleged illegal alien smuggler. The 20 year old U.S. Citizen evaded authorities and started making his way towards McAllen. 

Working together, the Penitas Police Department requested the assistance of the McAllen Border Patrol, to which they responded along with a National Guard helicopter. 

Unfortunately the chase ended catastrophically, with the smuggler’s black Ford Mustang crashing into a Chevrolet Malibu carrying two passengers. Emergency Medical Technicians arrived on the scene shortly afterward, and provided immediate medical care to all six people involved in the accident. The driver of the Malibu was determined to be in critical condition and air lifted to a hospital. The remaining people involved in the accident were transported to a local hospital as well for evaluation. 

The 20 year old smuggler was taken into custody by the Sullivan City Police department and will be processed accordingly. He is accused of smuggling three illegal aliens.
