Harlingen Public Library Cuts Fines for Non Perishable Food Donations

Local News

Harlingen’s Public Library is cutting offenders some slack, but only if they give back.

Bring non-perishable food and the library will cut your fines up to $10.

The ‘Food for Fines’ project is to help feed hundreds of families through Loaves and Fishes.

As of today, the library has received more donations than waived fines.

Monday is the last day fines will be forgiven in exchange for food.

To find out if you have overdue fines, the library says, just give them a call.
