Harlingen Police Searching For Suspect In Hit And Run Case

The Harlingen Police Department is asking for assistance in identifying and locating the driver of a gray colored passenger vehicle involved in an auto-pedestrian hit and run crash that occurred on Sunday, October 28th, 2018 at 12:20 A.M.

Harlingen Police Officers responded to the 700 block of North Ed Carey Drive in reference to two adult female victims that were struck by a gray colored passenger vehicle. 

As officers arrived on scene, one of the victims was lying on the sidewalk and bleeding from the back of her head.

According to the victims, they were walking across Ed Carey Drive and were struck by the vehicle on the far right northbound lane.

The vehicle continued to travel northbound and fled the area. 

The Harlingen Fire Department and Harlingen Emergency Medical Services arrived on scene to provide medical treatment for both victims. 

One of the victims was transported to a local hospital for further treatment.

The Harlingen Police Highway Enforcement Unit and Area District Detectives continue to investigate this crash.
