Harlingen Police Arrest Man Who Allegedly Assaulted And Stole $2,000 From Woman

On Friday, August 17th, 2018 at approximately 4:40 P.M., Harlingen Police Officers responded to the 1800 block of Lincoln Avenue in reference to a robbery in progress.

According to the victim, she was sitting in the parking lot of a local business when she was allegedly assaulted by a male. 

During the assault, the male allegedly took approximately $2,000 in cash before fleeing the parking lot on foot.

Responding Officers located the male as he was fleeing and placed him under arrest for the robbery. 

The male was still in possession of the money at the time of his arrest.

The incident remains under investigation.
