Harlingen PD Holds Promotion Ceremony

Local News

Seven men with the Harlingen Police department are now living new chapters with the force.

At a special promotion ceremony, the men took to higher ranks. After months of rigorous work and preparation, there is now a new deputy chief, two new commanders and four newly appointed sergeants.

One of the new commanders was a public information officer with the department.

David Osbourne, newly appointed Commander says, “Lots of study time, lots of hours behind the books, preparing for an oral assessment. It was quite a challenge but there’s several fine officers here today who have been promoted today and I’m excited to work side by side with them. I’m really excited to get back on patrol, getting back with boots on the ground. We have some great men and women in this department and I’m looking forward to working with them and helping them achieve their goals and continue to keep our community safe.”

Congratulations to all of those promoted within the Harlingen Police Department from all of us at KVEO.
