Brownsville Chief Orlando Rodriguez has released a statement announcing that Halloween events have been canceled due to inclement weather.

“Due to the flash-flood warning and expected thunderstorms tonight, we are canceling our Halloween events. Just got an update and the worst of the weather is expected to hit by 6pm. This includes thunderstorms and lightning. We encourage residents to stay off the streets during these conditions and an outdoor event is not in the best interest of the public.”
