Free Medical Services for Valley Residents

Rio Grande Valley residents will have the opportunity to receive free basic medical services July 25, through July 29.

Operation Lone Star offers Texas residents child immunizations, hearing and vision screenings, diabetes and blood pressure screenings, and sports physicals. Clinics in Mission and San Juan will also offer dental services and vision exams for prescription glasses.

Residents will also be able to take advantage of low-cost medication from any HEB, Walmart, and Walgreens in the Valley.

All clinics will be open from 8 a.m to 4 p.m, Monday through Thursday. On Friday, clinics will be open from 8 a.m to 2 p.m.


Brownsville: Vela Middle School, 4905 Paredes Line Road

Mission: Juarez-Lincoln High School, 7801 W. Mile 7 Road

Rio Grande City: Ac2E Magnet Elementary School, 1 S. Fort Ringgold

San Juan: PSJA High School, 805 West Ridge Road
