Former priest, John Feit, is waiting for a trial date while attorneys analyze at least 20,000 pieces of evidence. The 83 year old appeared in court for a pre-trial hearing. He’s is accused of the 1960 murder of Irene Garza. Feit has been in custody at the Hidalgo County Jail since March of this year. He is scheduled to be back in court on October 27th. 92nd District Court Judge Luis Singleterry says he’ll discuss a trial date then. News Center 23 has been covering this story for months.
