Employees Continue Second Day of Strike

Local News

Charter bus drivers and employees out of Brownsville are on strike demanding a change in their contracts.

This is the second day employees from the ‘tornado Bus Company’ are on strike for the alleged disappearance of their employee benefits.

They plan to join with other employees nationwide from the transportation company to voice their concerns.

This morning was the first time a group got together to stand in front of buses about to exit the station.

Employee on strike Hector Salazar says, “They’re saying that the benefits are going to be there. But that’s verbally. If he signs the paper and shows us it’s signed by him that we have our benefits back, we go to work.”

This group will be heading to Laredo tomorrow in order to continue their strike alongside fellow Tornado employees.
