Double Quinceanera for Middle School Girls

Local News

Perkins Middle School in Brownsville transformed a library into a dance hall for two students.

The school celebrated the ‘Quinceanera’ of Andrea Etheard and Rosa Compian.

The 15-year-old girls are special needs students. School faculty and staff decided to host this event for the girls due to their low economic background.

“I don’t even have words to describe what I’m feeling right now. All of a sudden I saw my little girl as a grown woman.” Said one of the mothers

The girls were even joined by Rubi, a 15-year-old internet sensation from Mexico.
