City of Pharr hosts session on new trade rule

PHARR, Texas – Trade experts gathering in Pharr to discuss the latest trends affecting international trade.

Known as “Bridge Connect” the Pharr International Bridge hosts regular information sessions for professionals in commercial traffic. Today, the U.S. Department of Transportation discusses the new Electronic Logging Device rule.

A mandatory requirement for commercial drivers and companies.

Alfredo Flores, trade liaison, Pharr International Bridge, “It’s important for the industry, pretty much for safety. It’s for safety, you know, for the drivers and not only for the road with transfers from Mexico coming into the states.”
