City of Hidalgo Announcing $54 Million in Infrastructure Projects

The City of Hidalgo announcing $54 million in major infrastructure projects which will bring growth and jobs to the community.

This morning city leaders along with state leaders holding a ground breaking at the State Farm Arena. The city received a $1.2 million public infrastructure grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration. The first phase of development will include water and sewer improvements and the construction of a new roadway.

Mayor Sergio Coronado – City of Hidalgo, “It means a lot. Hidalgo is here right across the bridge from Mexico, so the location is key. We have a lot of potential. This new investment is going to create a new infrastructure for the city of Hidalgo.”

City leaders also announcing plans to renovate the State Farm Arena and a new IDEA Public School campus coming in August 2022.
