California group helping RGV migrants

RIO GRANDE VALLEY, Texas – A California group is collecting food and clothing for Rio Grande Valley immigrant shelters. 

The group from the bay area this weekend collected clothing for kids. They’re workign closely with the Respite Center in McAllen and are planning a trip to bring clothing, food, and supplies sometime in early May. 

The group of mostly women has come to the RGV before to volunteer and bring things they have collected for the shelter.
