Brownsville Woman Arrested After Hit and Run, Car Theft

A Brownsville woman is under arrest after stealing a vehicle and using it in a hit and run accident.

Ruby Ann Arrizola Gonzalez, 28, was arrested at the 600 block of Ash Street after matching the description of a driver involved in a hit and run that had occurred on Elm Street.

Police discovered the vehicle she was driving had been reported stolen approximately 4 hours prior to the accident. Gonzalez had stolen the minivan at a gas station from a man who had left the keys in the ignition while pumping gas.

Gonzalez is now facing several charges including theft of vehicle and failure to identify.

Police investigating the incident.
