Brownsville PD Raises Funds for Families of Fallen Dallas Police Officers

You can help families of fallen officers in Dallas. From 11 am to 9pm until Thursday, members of the Brownsville Police Officers Association will be accepting donations. You can drop off cash donations in front of the movie theater inside Sunrise Mall. News Center 23 spoke with some of the donors who say a few dollars is the least they can do.

Edgar Valerio says, “They save lives they help keep the streets clear of bad people without it be right to help the police also.”

Brownsville Police Officers are expected to be at the funeral services for Dallas Police Sergeant Michael Smith. He was a 27-year veteran of the force before being killed during the sniper attack.
