Border Patrol Secures Drugs Hidden In A Unique Way

Local News

Smugglers attempted a unique way to smuggle drugs.

This time around, they tested their luck through a golf course, but Brownsville agents quickly caught on to the suspects.

Border Patrol Riverine Units spotted several individuals swimming from the U.S. to the Mexican riverbank.

Agents searched the area and discovered they had abandoned several golf bags, all filled with bundles of marijuana.

The drugs are worth about $40,000.
