Border Patrol Rescues Unaccompanied Child

Local News

An eight year old little boy was abandoned near the Rio Grande.

Weslaco Border Patrol Agents were unable to communicate with him. The child only speaks dialect.

Border Patrol agents found him yesterday by a river road all by himself, after he was smuggled across the river.

Because of the language barrier, agents have only obtained his name and age.

Right now authorities are working with consulate offices, to determine the little boy’s nationality and dialect origin.
