Border Patrol Hosts Citizens Academy Graduation

The Weslaco Border Patrol station hosted a Citizens Academy graduation ceremony for Class #138. 

On Thursday, the Weslaco Border Patrol Station held a graduation ceremony for 10 citizens who successfully completed their Citizens Academy. The five-week academy encompassed a variety of events and activities to include brush walks along the Rio Grande, firearms familiarization, presentations by riverine, horse patrol, intermediate force instructors, and K-9 agents.

Weslaco Station’s Acting Patrol Agent in Charge David A. Robles addressed the graduates and thanked them for their dedication throughout the academy. Rio Grande Valley Border Patrol Sector Deputy Chief Patrol Agent Raul Ortiz provided an operational and mission brief, congratulated the participants on their perseverance, and presented them with a certificate of achievement.
