Border Patrol Agents Jump Into Rio Grande River To Save Drowning Woman

VALLEYWIDE, Texas - A woman saved from drowning.

Agents say they spotted a group trying to cross in the U.S. near La Joya.

The group ran back towards the Rio Grande, jumping off a 15 foot cliff into the river to swim back to Mexico.

That's when they spotted a woman hesitant to jump in. Eventually she did and struggled to stay afloat.

CBP Air Interdiction Agents jumped into the Rio Grande to save her.

The woman was not injured and did not need medical attention.
