The City of Harlingen unveils ten new bicycles for public use at McKelvey Park.
This is part of a bike share program known as ‘Bike Share for the Rio Grande Valley.’
It is a subscription based initiative to make bicycles more accessible.
Users can now use a mobile app or send a text message to unlock a public bicycle for daily use.
Stations like the one unveiled today are found in the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg, The city of Brownsville and Harlingen.
They are usually found in parks or public spaces.
