Attorney For Judge Accused Of Bribery Files Motion For Venue Change

Local News

Attorneys for the 93rd District Judge facing bribery charges have filed a motion for a venue change in federal court.

District Judge Rudy Delgado’s attorney, Al Alvarez, filed the motion on Feb. 14 requesting the case to be moved from Houston to McAllen.

According to court records Delgado argues the government intentionally filed the criminal complaint in Houston to try and gain tactical advantage over his rights to defend himself.

A date for the hearing on the venue change motion is yet to be determined.
