Attempted Murderer Arrested

On April 17, while trying to enter illegally, a Mexican national was stopped and questioned by authorities. Upon questioning it was discovered that the man had given false information, prompting officers to further investigate.

Investigation uncovered that the man was paroled after serving 25 years for attempted murder of a Brownsville police officer in 1989.

The man was then arrested and turned into the Cameron County Sheriff’s office to serve the remaining 40 years of his original sentence.
