Arraignment For Man Accused of Murder Pushed Back

A man is accused of dumping a woman’s body inside a septic tank near more than 10 years ago.

40-year-old Aristeo Cervantes Jr. is accused of stabbing 21-year-old Leona Marie Johnson to death. The arraignment for Aristeo Cervantes Jr. was pushed back to November 29.

Johnson was reported missing in March 2004 and her remains were found 13 years later near Elsa in July 2017. Currently Cervantes Jr. is serving a 12-year sentence for stabbing his wife in 2015.
