MCALLEN, Texas — The Angry Tias and Abuelas of the Rio Grande Valley will arrive in Washington D.C. this week to accept the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Award and speak with members of Congress on the “Reality of Immigration on the Border”.

Please find attached the Official Press Release from the Robert F. Kennedy Foundation honoring the Angry Tias and Abuelas of the RGV as the laureates of the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Award.  We share the honor with another Rio Grande Valley group, L.U.P.E. as well as Detained Migrant Solidarity Committee from El Paso, Texas.
