Aggravated Robbery Investigation in Alamo

The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an aggravated robbery that occurred at a drive thru store over the weekend.

On Sunday August 28, 2016 at approximately 6:30 p.m., Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Maldonado Drive Thru located at the 100 block of Sioux Rd, in rural Alamo, Hidalgo County, TX, for a report of an aggravated robbery.

Deputies arrived and met with an employee who reported she was robbed by a male suspect. The male was armed with a gun and made demands for money. He was covering his face with a black mask and was wearing a black hooded sweater, camouflage pants and socks on his hands. The suspect fled the scene after obtaining money from the register; the employee was not injured during the crime.

Sheriff’s Investigators are releasing the surveillance video of the crime and need the public’s help to identify the suspect.
