A preview of the McAllen Holiday Parade

MCALLEN, Texas – The city of McAllen is gearing up for their world renown holiday parade. Today they let the media in for a sneak peak of what attendees will get to see on Saturday night.

Float decorators with the McAllen Parks & Recreation Department are putting the final touches on the floats. This year’s parade will feature 50 floats featuring 3-miles of rope lighting. 39 character balloons, marching bands and of course all the celebrities including those from the Dallas Cowboys.

Xochitl Mora, Communications Director – City of McAllen, “We just want to get people all excited. We have some beautiful floats that are celebrating the theme of this year’s parade which is the official “South Pole of Texas”. We want everyone to be able to make plans now so that they see all of these 50 floats that we have that are part of the parade.”
