$3.8 Million in Methamphetamine Seized in Pharr

Local News

On April 3, CBP officers at the Pharr-Reynosa International Bridge were approached by a 33 year old man driving a white Nissan Armada SUV.

A secondary inspection revealed 190.25 lbs. of liquid methamphetamine, a street value of $3,8000,000.

Evidence showed that the driver, a Brazilian citizen, resided in Michoacán, Mexico.

The driver was arrested and handed over to Homeland Security. The drugs and vehicle were seized.

“The narcotics threat is presented on a daily basis and our officers maintain their resolute readiness to face it head-on,” said Port Director Efrain Solis Jr.
