Masters of sandcastle sculpting are gathered at Clayton’s Beach Bar to create an ‘unforgettable’ sand art piece.
Experts will have 3 days to complete their creations.
There will be live music and family activities.
Visitors can also participate in an amateur building competition with no experience necessary.
We asked master sand sculptors to give us some advice for amateur participants.
“Keep it wet! Dry sand is enemy. You can’t work with dry sand,” says Remy Hoggard, sand sculptor from the Netherlands.
Co Founder and competition participant for 29 years, ‘The Amazing’ Walter McDonald recommends, “Bring your shovels and buckets and have a lot of fun. That’s the best tips I can give you. If you win a prize that’s fine, if you didn’t you still had fun at our beautiful beach.”
Registration for the amateur competitions begins this Friday.
Categories include: kids, family, groups and singles.
