2 stabbed during robbery, suspects arrested

The Harlingen Police Department arrested two individuals involved in an aggravated robbery.

On Wednesday, September 30th, at around 10:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of North 77 Sunshine Strip in reference to two individuals being stabbed during a robbery.

The victims and a witness reported that a male suspect threatened them with a knife while a female suspect took their personal belongs.

During the robbery a struggle ensued resulting in the stabbing of the two who were transported and treated for their injuries.

The suspects then fled the scene but were later apprehended and identified as Amabel Guevara Baros, 28, and Eduardo Garcia, 32.

Both were charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated assault with a bond amount issued for Baros totaling $75,000 dollars and Garcia’s at $90,000 dollars.
