LNG company clearing up misconceptions, performs safety demonstration

BROWNSVILLE, Texas – Leaders from the Rio Grande LNG export facility performing a demonstration on what Liquefied Natural Gas is and how it is used.

NextDecade LNG showcasing what happens to the Liquefied Natural Gas when it is cooled and in its gassiest state. Many spectators of these export facilities question the safety of LNG. NextDecade says it’s clearing up any misconceptions and wants to be 100 percent transparent about the project.

Toni Beck, Community Relations Vice President, “If there is any spill, we have plenty of safety mechanisms in place to ensure that doesn’t happen but just what the nature of the product really is. So that people can walk away with a better understanding.”

Beck adds this project can bring thousands of jobs to the Rio Grande Valley. Their plans include investing in education and the work force.
