Lacks reinventing showroom design

MCALLEN, Texas – A store with roots that began in the Rio Grande Valley is hoping to serve even more customers by offering them a different shopping experience.

The very first Lacks store was founded back in 1935 in McAllen marking the beginning of what would become the preeminent furniture chain in all south Texas.

Now store officials are hoping to dazzle customers with a new showroom, the biggest in the region.

The 140,000 square foot Lacks galleria of McAllen is sure to excite furniture shoppers.

“You know this store when it was originally built, it was the largest store in Texas. My grandparents had a vision that it needed to be the biggest and the best-looking store in Texas and so we’re trying to get back to that mindset,” said Seth Aaronson, Chief Marketing Officer of Lacks.

The new design will add more space, making it a more welcoming experience for customers. Lacks now operates 12 stores in south Texas with the newest location opening in Corpus Christi in 2018.
