Judge grants injunction for former Valley police chief

ALAMO, Texas – A judge grants an injunction in favor of a former Valley police chief Baudelio Castillo now has an opportunity to present evidence in an effort to regain his position as Alamo Police Chief. Castillo claims the city violated the Texas Whistleblower Act.

He says he was fired in retaliation for reporting alleged wrongdoing by city officials and also added, “We have a great police department and I enjoyed the year I was there. I was received with open arms, I had a lot of support from businesses and citizens and I want to continue serving them. I have a lot of experience to offer the citizens and I enjoy the city of Alamo.”

The hearing is scheduled for August 16.
