Judge asks flood victims “Do you want help or do you want to b****?”

News

SANTA ROSA, Texas — Homeowners living on FM 506 between La Feria and Santa Rosa in Cameron County, Texas are angry and feel betrayed by elected county officials, Judge Eddie Trevino and County Commissioner precinct 4 Gus Ruiz.

At a townhall style meeting aimed at answering questions as to why their homes were flooded for weeks following June’s heavy rainfall, ended in a tirade from County Judge Eddie Trevino asking, “do you want help or do you want to bitch?”

For weeks homeowners have tried to get answers but their calls were not returned.  https://www.kveo.com/news/flood-victims-track-down-commissioner-at-bbq-because-he-wont-return-their-calls/

Media outlets were invited by flood victims but were barred from entering since the meeting was informal and held on private property.

Efforts to keep what was said hush-hush, Deputy Constables were threating flood victims to stop recording with their cell phones or be kicked out of the meeting.

Local 23 has contacted Judge Trevino but have not been given an explanation why Constables were ordering victims to no record or if he plans to meet with flood victims again.
