Hit & Run driver turns himself in

MISSION, Texas – The driver that fled the scene of an auto-pedestrian crash has turned himself in to authorities.

19-year-old Eluid Liam Barrera was arraigned Friday afternoon and faced charges for bodily injury to a person.

Mission Police said he was behind the wheel of an SUV that struck a 20-year-old man on the 3200 block of Francisco street on Wednesday afternoon.

Local 23 was told the victim suffered serious injuries.

Barrera was given a $50,000 bond.
