MISSION, Texas – As Mexican Independence Day draws closer, the city of Mission is bringing some Mexican traditions here to the Rio Grande Valley.
It’s all part of the Grito de Independencia Noche Mexicana 2019. The event is free and open to the public. It is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 15 at the Mission Event Center beginning at noon until 11:00 p.m.
In addition to many delicious traditional Mexican food, there will also be mariachis, folklorico dancers, lucha libre, and of course the traditional Mexican Grito and much more.
