Former police officer out on $30,000 unsecured bond


MCALLEN, Texas – A former police officer facing life in prison for allegedly sexually assaulting a teen and an undocumented man is out on bond. Matthew Lee Sepulveda was released on a $30,000 unsecured bond with home detention and GPS monitoring.

Sepulveda was fired by the Progreso Police Department after only being with the force for less than 4 months. In a federal lawsuit, Sepulveda reportedly sexually assaulted two males at the police station giving them oral sex.
