Edinburg Police Department unveils pink badges

EDINBURG, Texas – In recognition of breast cancer awareness month officers with the Edinburg Police Department are going pink.

The Edinburg Police Department unveiled their pink patch uniforms that some officers will be wearing throughout the month of October.

Several officers were on-hand to display the new badges.

Department officials say they are hoping the new badges will bring awareness in the community, adding that they are also a show of support to everyone who has battled the disease.
