Deadline for Public Comment on Border Wall approaching

BROWNSVILLE, Texas – The public comment for a proposed barrier in Starr County ends this Monday, August 26th. As part of a 60 day public comment period residents can voice their concerns about safety, the environment, and potential impacts a border wall would have on the community.

Right now Customs and Border Protection is looking to install “primary pedestrian barrier” meant to deter drugs, crime, and illegal border crossings on foot along the U.S. – Mexico border.
