Customs and Border Protection intercept $229K in cocaine


RIO GRANDE VALLEY, Texas – A man from Reynosa that was attempting to smuggle drugs through the Anzalduas International Bridge was arrested.

Customs and Border Protection officers discovered $229,000 worth of cocaine inside of a Ford Explorer SUV.

A total of 11 packages were found with the help of a canine team.

Homeland Security Investigations is now looking into the case.
