Border Patrol discovers bodies

RIO GRANDE VALLEY, Texas – More bodies have been discovered by Border Patrol agents, officials saying that they were abandoned by smugglers.

A total of three migrant bodies were found. Two of those individuals died in the brush, one near Sullivan City, and the other near La Grulla.

On Friday, there were reports of a Mexican national abandoned by smugglers near a ranch. Agents working at the Javier Vega, Jr. checkpoint responded to the last known GPS coordinates and located a man’s body.

Border Patrol officials strongly urged migrants to not risk their lives attempting to cross into the U.S. illegally.
