Bond set for wife of accused physician

MCALLEN, Texas – A bond is set for  the wife of a valley doctor accused of misdiagnosing patients for financial gain.

Meisy Zamora stands accused of money laundering and allegedly assisting her husband, Dr. Jorge Zamora-Quezada, in submitting fraudulent health care claims. Treating patients for chemotherapy and organ transplants they did not need.

Zamora’s bond was set at $250,000. She cannot travel outside of the United States. In addition, Zamora cannot have any contact with her husband and must wear a tracking device.

Both trials are set for mid-September.
