BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — Happy New Year's Eve Everyone!
Well like I had mentioned in yesterday's blog, I am not too thrilled about the coming New Year. But there is something about the idea of the New Year's Eve celebration that welcomes the new thrilling changes we have ahead.
I think Mother Nature is the one to blame for me feeling a little under the weather. (pun intended)
Yesterday we saw record breaking numbers for the amount of rain we received. Not only that but our highs have not gotten out of the 40's!
Check out our weather for tomorrow: http://www.kveo.com/weather
This time last year, for those who may recall, we were out enjoying the nice beautiful weather in shorts. Highs in the 70's with party cloudy skies!
Not this year, we are having to buy scarf and sweaters and ear muffs and boots.. and you name it. It certainly is an interesting way to start our New Year!
And let's face it, the amount of fireworks we will see tonight at Midnight will be close to none. Unless you are the crazy few who will brave the cold, wet weather.
According to the National Weather Service, this has been the coldest December we have seen in a really long time.
The last time we saw cold weather was in December of 1989. It was 18 degrees on Christmas Day that year.
At least we will be baring much nicer weather this year.
Happy New Year's Eve Everyone!!
