Recognize that image? I'll give you a hint: This tropical storm made landfall on the Yucatán Peninsula near Cancún early on July 21, 2008, leaving at least 17 people dead in Guatemala and one person dead in the Yucatán. It moved into the Gulf of Mexico and strengthened to become a Category 2 hurricane before weakening and making landfall as a Category 1 storm on July 23 in South Padre Island with 85 mph winds. Yes, Hurricane Dolly.
You do not want to turn on Newscenter 23 and see a similar image and NOT have a hurricane plan in place. You may not have to evacuate, but you will need to be safe in a storm and know how to navigate life in the aftermath of a big storm.
