Currently, Tropical Storm Isaac is 75 miles W/SW of Key West, FL and about 510 miles SE of the mouth of the Mississippi River. Isaac is forecast to gain strength as it moves over the Eastern Gulf of Mexico. On this current track, Isaac should approach the Northern Gulf Coast on Tuesday. Tropical Storm force winds extend outward up to 205 miles. Once Isaac moves past the southern tip of Florida, he'll gain strength from the warm Gulf waters and form a hurricane. At this point, an Alabama/Mississippi/Louisiana landfall is likely. However, we should stay weather aware through the next 48-72 hours if the forecast changes.
