UTPA's Engineering Program Is Reaching Higher Success

EDINBURG - The College of Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Texas Pan American has more than doubled in size since it's inception 17 years ago and is now believed to be the second fastest growing college in the nation.

What do Rick Ybarra, an aerospace engineer for NASA, Victor Reyes, a mechanical Engineer at Boeing, Marlen Ramirez, A manufacturing engineer with Nrothrop Grunman, and Robert Carreon, an Electrical Engineer for Texas Instruments have in Common? They're successful, Professional Engineers who have graduated from UT Pan Am. In fact they're among more than a thousand  alumni who have received their degree from UTPA's engineering program since it began 17 years ago. The program's success in producing top quality graduates has causes enrollment in the college of Engineering and Computer skyrocket.
