High speed chase ends in Harlingen.

A high speed chase ended in Harlingen with a man handcuffed and taken into custody by DPS officers.

 

The chase began in Weslaco after DPS officials say the man stole some items from the H.E.B store and leading police on a chase through Valley cities. It ended at the intersection of Ed Carey and Frontage late Tuesday afternoon. The driver drove through school zones and even down the wrong way on the street  at 100 mph. There was multiple cars damaged during the chase with one injury being serious. The driver was charged with four counts of intoxicated assault and one count of evading arrest.
