Clay Moser and the Vipers part ways.

Moser confirms with NewsCenter23 that Rockets personnel today informed him that he is being replaced. Jason Notoras spoke on the phone with coach Moser, who is in as positive spirits as one could be. Moser says Houston's General Manager Darly Morey called him today, saying the Rockets want to go in a new direction (ending a three-year contract after just one season). Moser says he didn't understand how he was wrongly leading the Vipers. The team finished at 21-and-29 for the second consecutive season. Season three will begin with a new head coach, as Moser now begins the next chapter of his life. Last week his wife gave birth to his second child, a son. Moser did say he contacted his players and their agents to inform them of the news, and thanks the Vipers for the time he was head coach. We'll bring you sound from my phone conversation with coach Moser in tomorrow's neighborhood sports.
