Congratulations To The Porter Cowboys Mark Gonzalez, Jose Luis Barcenas & Angel Flores for being The Chevy
Players Of The Week. The Cowboys came into the game 0-2 looking for the first victory and they got it.
with time running out the Cowboys went on a 4th & 10. Mark Gonzalez connected with Jose Luis Barcenas
for a 31 yard touchdown pass with 18 seconds left. down by 1 Coach Hector Garcia was asked what went
through his mind when they scored and did he feel they could win?

The La Grulla Gators drew first blood on the first overtime possession but the Cowboys saddle up and rode down
the field and score on a 6 yard run by Angel Flores. The Cowboys scored again in the second overtime from 5 yards out on the legs of Angel Flores.

The Cowboys held the Gators on their next possession and the celebration began. Mark Gonzalez had 8 completions out of 15 attempts for 175 yards and 3 touchdowns.  Angel Flores had 8 carries for 104 yards and 3 touchdowns. Jose Luis Barcenas had 4 carries for 21 yards, 5 receptions for 71 yards and caught the tieing touchdown pass.

Congratulations to the Porter Cowboys for their win in double overtime against the La Grulla Gators 33-27.
