The National Basketball Association has announced their opening night and schedule for 2013.

NBA will officially tip-off Tuesday, October 29.

Buzz-worthy games include the defending champions, the Miami Heat taking on the Chicago Bulls where Derrick Rose is expected to return to the court, and then going all-out in LA with the Los Angeles Lakers facing the Los Angeles Clippers. This will be the Clippers first game with former Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers taking the reigns.

Other notable games released during NBA TV programming on Tuesday include:

  • San Antonio at Miami - January 26, 2014
  • Christmas Day schedule includes five games: Chicago at Brooklyn, Oklahoma City at New York, Miami at the Lakers, Houston at San Antonio, and the Clippers at Golden State.
  • The Nets being a three-game, tri-country road trip on January 11th. They open at Toronto, fly across the pond to London to face the Atlanta Hawks in the O2 Arena, then return to Manhattan to face the Knicks.
  • San Antonio meets Minnesota December 4th in Mexico City.

The regular season ends April 16 and the All-Star game is February 16 in New Orleans.
