Game of the Week PREVIEW PACKAGE!

POSTED: Thursday, September 10, 2009 - 11:16pm

UPDATED: Thursday, February 25, 2010 - 12:33pm

The game of games this week is on the calendar for tomorrow, when San Benito and Harlingen meet for the 80th Battle of the Arroyo.
"We can score on any play"
"Wow it's gonna be tough to slow them down"
"Our defense can cause negative yards on every play"
"We worry about the greyhounds"
I worry about the statisticians. Both teams scored at least 35 points in each of their two games this season, but coach Gomez is confident he'll be able to contain San Beni.
"We have the upper hand because we already know his style of offense and he'll add his tweaks and I'll have to make adjustments for Friday night."
Why would Harlingen know so much about the Greyhounds offense? First year head coach Spencer Gantt spent last season as offensive coordinator for the Cardinals.
Battle of the Arroyo and High School Fever's game of the week kicks off FRIDAY at 7:30.
